Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: October 17, 2025
Welcome to OpenAid, a donor-first transparent charity platform built on the Pi Network. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any donations or using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, donating, or browsing OpenAid, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our platform.
2. Use of Platform
- OpenAid is a decentralized donation platform enabling users to support verified charitable causes using Pi cryptocurrency.
- All transactions occur on-chain and are publicly verifiable via the Pi Blockchain.
- You must hold a valid Pi wallet and use an authorized Pi Browser or app to interact with this platform.
3. Donations
- All donations are final and non-refundable unless fraud or misrepresentation is proven.
- Donors are solely responsible for ensuring they send funds only to verified NGOs after reviewing KYC documentation.
- OpenAid does not guarantee project outcomes but ensures end-to-end donation traceability.
- We are not liable for misuse of funds by third-party NGOs; however, we enforce accountability through supplier quotations and delivery proof.
4. NGO & Project Verification
- NGOs must complete full KYC verification, including legal registration documents and leadership identification.
- Projects are reviewed for feasibility, budget accuracy, and social impact before being listed.
- Suppliers involved in project execution must accept itemized quotations for validation.
5. Transparency & Tracking
Every donation can be traced across three stages:
- Wallet → NGO: On-chain transaction recorded on Pi Network.
- NGO → Supplier: Verified purchase order and quotation submitted.
- Public Audit Trail: All data accessible to donors via dashboard.
6. User Responsibilities
- You agree not to engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Pi account and credentials.
- Impersonating others or submitting false information may result in permanent suspension.
7. Limitation of Liability
OpenAid acts as a facilitator between donors and verified NGOs. While we strive for full transparency and accountability:
- We do not control how NGOs or suppliers operate post-disbursement.
- We make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or timeliness of project updates.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenAid disclaims all liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of OpenAid after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify registered users of significant updates via email or in-app alerts.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where OpenAid is registered. Any disputes arising from use of the platform will be resolved through arbitration or small claims court, if applicable.
